Franklin Lakes Man Had 1,100+ Child Porn Files: Prosecutor

FRANKLIN LAKES, NJ — A township man was caught with more than 1,100 files of child pornography after authorities executed a search warrant at his home Friday, authorities said.
The warrant was executed as part of an internet child pornography investigation, said acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo.
Authorities found Matthew K. McKim, 31, had 1,160 digital files on his computer, Calo said. The filed were of nude, sexually explicit prepubescent and pubescent children, he said.

McKim also used social media to have "sexually explicit" conversations with kids, Calo said. McKim used the scree names, "hpgw5297" and "ginnyfan5279," during the conversations, Calos said.
McKim was charged with possession of child pornography in an amount greater than 1,000 files, and violation of parole supervision. He was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending a court appearance.

Authorities are continuing their investigation. Any parent who suspects their child was in contact with either of the screen names may call the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Cyber Crimes Unit at 201-646-2300.
