Godwin Avenue Closing to Detour Traffic

Work at future TD Bank anticipated to start May 3

Update: The road closure, from Franklin to Greenwood avenues, is now anticipated to begin on May 3.

 

Motorists who travel Godwin Avenue should adjust their plans starting Thursday.

A portion of the thoroughfare off Franklin Avenue will be closed to traffic to enable crews to construct a sewer extension to the future TD Bank at 290 Godwin Ave.

Construction is anticipated to last four to five weeks and will be performed from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday. No work is planned for evenings or weekends unless an emergency requires it.

Police said that motorists who travel that portion of Godwin Avenue should expect delays during the day. Drivers who don't utilize an alternate route will be detoured around the nearby shopping centers.

Motorists traveling north on Godwin will be detoured left at Franklin Avenue, right onto Main Street, right onto Wyckoff Avenue, right onto Greenwood Avenue and then left to get back to Godwin.

Drivers heading south on Godwin will be detoured right onto Greenwood Avenue, left onto Wyckoff Avenue, left onto Main Street, left onto Franklin Avenue and then right to get back to Godwin.

The township will post any necessary updates on the closure or detours on its Web site, www.wyckoff-nj.com. Residents who register their e-mail addresses with the site will receive e-mail updates when they are posted to the site.
