Jewelry, Money Stolen From Franklin Lakes Vehicles

FRANKLIN LAKES, NJ — Money and jewelry were stolen out of vehicles recently, police reported.

At midnight Friday, a Courter Road resident said that someone entered her 2013 Hyundai and stole a backpack with $40 and some jewelry inside, said Capt. John Bakelaar.

On Sunday morning, a Briarwoods Road resident reported that overnight someone broke into her 2019 Chevrolet pickup and stole $25, Baklaar said.

The break-ins occurred a few days after an unlocked Mercedes Benz, with the key fob inside, was stolen out of a Greenridge Road driveway .
