Music Education Franchise Opens School In Wyckoff

A national franchise comprised of 54 schools has opened another at Franklin Avenue in Wyckoff.

WYCKOFF, NJ — A music school franchise that has racked up numerous accolades and prides itself on offering a fun learning environment for children of all ages has opened a second school in Wyckoff on Saturday, a news release said.

Bach to Rock, a national franchise comprised of 54 music schools that include weekly instruction and lessons in different instruments, band formations and public concerts, opened a second school in Wyckoff at 327 Franklin Avenue.

“I am thrilled to be opening our second school in the Wyckoff community to present that opportunity to kids here," Eric Philo, the owner of Bach to Rock in Wyckoff, said in the news release. "Playing music opens so many avenues for kids to interact."

Philo, also a musician, opened his first Bach to Rock music school in New York in 2017, became a franchisee, he said, to enhance children's lives through music.

“(Philo) has boundless energy and a strong commitment to helping students pursue music education,” said Brian Gross, president of Bach to Rock. “I’m confident families in the community will benefit from his leadership and passion.”

"We would like to welcome this new business to our Chamber and our town," a Wyckoff Chamber of Commerce spokesperson said in a statement.
