Board President Daniel Moynihan, Vice President Raymond Hovey and member Danielle Swenson all declined to seek re-election to the board.
The thin field means there is room for a write-in candidate when voters go to the polls. Should a resident not garner enough write-in support, the board would have to fill the third seat itself after it reorganizes.

However, there still is reason to vote next month. Residents will be asked to approve the 2010-11 school budget tax levy, which would carry an average $226 tax hike, based on the average assessed value of a Wyckoff home. However, the budget, at $33.2 million last month, will be affected by final state aid figures, which are not yet known by the district.
