
RIH posted the following on its website Monday morning:
Due to inclement weather, there will be a delayed opening at the high schools. All students and staff should report to school 90 minutes after the normal start time.
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until noon. The National Weather Service is predicting some more snow or ice may be heading this way Monday night.
- Monday: Rain or freezing rain, becoming all rain after noon. High near 41. Northeast wind around 6 mph becoming calm in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total daytime ice accumulation of around a 0.1 of an inch possible.
- Monday Night: A chance of snow after 3am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 29. Northwest wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
- Tuesday: Snow, mainly before 4pm. High near 34. West wind 5 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.
- Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 21. West wind 7 to 13 mph.
