Save Trees at Wyckoff's Fall Shred Fest This Year
The Township of Wyckoff has scheduled a community mobile paper-shredding event at the Wyckoff Department of Public Works Yard.
WYCKOFF, NJ — Shred and recycle your confidential paper at Wyckoff's Fall Shred Fest on Sept. 17, from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., the township said on its website.
The township has scheduled a community mobile paper-shredding event at the Wyckoff Department of Public Works Yard at 475 West Main Street.
Residents who wish to shred their personal documents can do so at no fee, and without getting out of their cars. Instead, an attendant will remove the items.

Residents are asked to limit paper to four bags or boxes weighing no more than 10 pounds each. Books, magazines, travel guides, junk mail, photos, envelopes, x-rays, binders or clips are not acceptable.
For every ton of paper recycled and redirected into post-consumer production, 17 trees are allowed to grow, according to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the township cited on its website.

There will also be a medicine dropbox that is available for residents to deposit their unused and expired medications for secure disposal by the Wyckoff Police Department. Residents are asked to remove labels from the medicine.
In addition, there will be a free collection of clean, white, and dry packing styrofoam. Food containers, packing peanuts or egg cartons, labels, tape or ink markings are not acceptable.
