Roydell Cameron, 39, was arrested and accused of sexually assaulting a woman at gunpoint in Palisades Park in 2005.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A suspect has been arrested in a 14-year-old cold case of a woman who was sexually assaulted at gunpoint, authorities announced Thursday.
Roydell Cameron, 39, of Bronx, New York, was charged with aggravated sexual assault, terroristic threats, and two weapons offenses following a renewed investigation by the North Jersey Regional Cold Case Task Force, said acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo.
The sexual assault occurred Friday, April 15, 2005. The Palisades Park Police Department responded to a call for help and learned that a woman was sexually assaulted by a man, Calo said. The man fled the scene.

The task force started as a joint effort between the prosecutor's office and the New Jersey State Police. It investigates, and helps close, unsolved homicide and sexual assault cases in Bergen, Passaic, and Essex counties.
Calo and New Jersey Attorney General Gurbir Grewal announced Thursday that the task force has been expanded to include detectives from the Essex County and Passaic County Prosecutor's Offices and the Newark Police Department.
"Each of the law enforcement agencies participating in the Cold Case Task Force has committed detectives full time to work together as we seek to bring justice to the many unsolved cases in our respective jurisdictions," Calo said.
