Wyckoff Fire Department Cancels Annual Fireworks Fundraiser
For the last few years, the event has operated at a loss, officials said.
WYCKOFF, NJ — The Fire Department's annual Labor Day fundraiser has been cancelled.
The event served as a fundraiser for the Fire Department, but operated at a loss the last few years due to people watching the fireworks from outside Memorial Field.
"Unfortunately, this has impacted our ability to raise funds to support the event," said Fire Chief Tim Brock in a letter to residents. "This event requires an extensive time commitment from our volunteers."

The department will continue to sponsor two other primary fundraisers: A golf summer golf outing and a community event like the "Taste of Wyckoff" at the Wyckoff YMCA.
"Please support these fundraisers and other events run by the Wyckoff Volunteer Fire Department throughout the year," Brock said.
