Wyckoff PD to Crack Down on Texting While Driving During 'U Drive. U Text. U Pay.' Campaign
"If you continue to text and drive, one of us is going to get you," Chief Fox said of the image showing a police cruiser and hearse.

Wyckoff Chief of Police Benjamin Fox announced that the Wyckoff Police Department will “aggressively enforce distracted driving” during “U Text. U Drive. U Pay.“ - a statewide enforcement program sponsored by the New Jersey Division of Highway Traffic Safety.
Police Officers throughout New Jersey will be extensively issuing summonses for distracted driving, particularly texting while driving, between April 1 and April 21, since it has become a major cause of motor vehicle crashes nationwide, especially by teenagers, Chief Fox said.
“Last year the Wyckoff Police Department created a poster of a police car and a funeral home hearse in front of a graveyard,” Chief Fox said “We use that image again this year because the message is crucial.“

“If you continue to text and drive, one of us is going to get you,” Chief Fox said “Either way, it doesn’t end well for you.”
Chief Fox said he created this “hard-hitting image” with a police officer and a funeral director in front of a cemetery because people are being killed in crashes while texting.
