Wyckoff PD: House Guest Punched Holes in Walls After Being Asked to Leave

The homeowner asked the 22-year-old family friend to leave after he allegedly began using narcotics in the home.

Police say a man who had been staying at a Wyckoff home for eight months began ”damaging the home” after being asked to leave.

Wyckoff Police arrived to the home on March 23 and learned that the homeowner asked the 22-year-old family friend to leave after he allegedly began using narcotics in the home, Wyckoff Police Chief Benjamin C. Fox said.

That’s when police say the man began “damaging the home, including punching holes in sheetrock walls, ripping down a shelf and breaking numerous items,” according to Chief Fox.

The man was arrested and charged with criminal mischief and a court order was issued barring him from the property.
