Wyckoff Police Detect Odor of Marijuana During Motor Vehicle Stop

The 21-year-old from Upper Saddle River was also found to be in possession of a Florida driver's license in the name of someone else.

Wyckoff Police say an initial stop for motor vehicle violations turned into an arrest when they they detected an odor of marijuana.

Police pulled the vehicle over on Wyckoff Avenue ”for failing to have a front license plate and no inspection sticker” on March 28 when they detected the odor, Wyckoff Chief of Police Benjamin C. Fox said.

An investigation uncovered that the driver, Dylan T. Reid, 21, of Upper Saddle River, was in possession of marijuana and a Florida driver’s license in the name of another person, Chief Fox said.

Reid was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of narcotics in a motor vehicle and several motor vehicle violations.

Although the Florida driver’s license matter remains under investigation, police say Reid was released in his own recognizance.
