Wyckoff Police To Shave Beards For Charity Sunday

Police officers from Wyckoff and Franklin Lakes will get their beards shaved to raise money for a Ridgewood family.

WYCKOFF, NJ — Township police officers may have looked a little unkempt and unprofessional this month. But there is a good reason why.

Wyckoff police officers grew their beards out for No Shave November. The national campaign that encourages men to forgo shaving and grooming to encourage conversation about cancer and encourage others to get cancer screenings done.

Township police officers, along with those from Ridgewood and Franklin Lakes, will be at Iconic Barbershop in Glen Rock beginning at 8 a.m. for the shave off. Sunday's Shave Off will raise money for a village family who recently experienced the unexpected death of a loved one.
