Riley, Lady Braves' top scorer, sinks game-winner in Al Armendariz Classic title game (santafenewmexican.com) — Santa Fe Indian School standout Kaydence Riley hit a last-second game-winner to secure the Al Armendariz Classic title and earn Athlete of the Week honors. The tournament at Capital High also highlighted strong performances from Capital’s Christian Bencomo, Santa Fe Prep’s opponent Los Alamos, and SFIS boys player Dontrey Callado, who reached 1,000 career points.
   

3. OSU Museum of Art expands Native art collection with gift from the Ralph T. Coe Center for the Arts (okstate.edu) — Santa Fe’s Ralph T. Coe Center for the Arts is sending three contemporary Native artworks and a supporting grant to Oklahoma State University’s Museum of Art, extending the reach of a collection rooted here. The gift helps fund exhibitions, teaching, and hands-on access to Indigenous art, showcasing how a Santa Fe institution influences education well beyond New Mexico.
   

4. New Mexico DOJ unveils statewide gun data center • Source New Mexico (sourcenm.com) — Santa Fe’s Department of Public Safety is being asked to plug its existing gun-data machine into a new statewide Crime Gun Intelligence Center. The initiative, led by Attorney General Raúl Torrez, aims to link shell-casing evidence from cities and rural areas so local investigators can more quickly track repeat shooters and gun traffickers across New Mexico.
   

5. Las Cruces doctors push for legislation to stem New Mexico doctor shortage • Source New Mexico (sourcenm.com) — Santa Fe lawmakers are being pressed by Las Cruces doctors to overhaul medical malpractice rules and taxes they say are driving physicians out of New Mexico. The doctors traveled to the Capitol to urge quick action before shortages worsen, proposing caps on damages, limits on attorney fees, and changes to gross receipts taxes on medical services that currently generate hundreds of millions for state and local governments.
