2 Illegal Weed Trucks Busted In Astoria, DA Says
"All The Smoke" and "Canna Depot" can't keep on truckin' in Astoria, prosecutors say.

ASTORIA, QUEENS —Two illegal weed trucks can't keep on truckin' through Astoria, according to Queens prosecutors.
Three people were arrested Wednesday when police busted an "All The Smoke" truck parked on 30th Avenue and 33rd Street and “Canna Depot,” on the corner of Broadway and 34th Street, said Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz.
More than five pounds of cannabis flower, hundreds of packages of edibles, and dozens of vape pens were found in the unlicensed cannabis trucks during the police bust on Wednesday, prosecutors said.

Lara Paola, 32, who ran "All The Smoke," and Tanik Kerr, 42, and Edgar Niyazov, 30, who operated "Canna Depot," were arrested on cannabis-related charges on Thursday after selling flowers and other products at the unlicensed mobile dispensaries, Katz said.
They each face up to a year in jail if convicted, the district attorney said.

New York State has opened nine licensed adult recreational-use cannabis dispensaries so far, including one in Jamaica. Queens has three state-authorized medical marijuana dispensaries.
