ASTORIA, QUEENS — A fire broke out in the back of an Astoria building Thursday afternoon, the Fire Department said.
The blaze erupted about 3 p.m. in the back of the four-story building located at 38-18 23rd Ave. and the flames were under control 20 minutes later, officials said.
Firefighters found lithium-ion batteries on the scene and notified fire marshals, FDNY said.
