LIC Eatery Named Among Hottest New Restaurants In Queens
Eater NY published its list of "The 15 Hottest New Restaurants in Queens, July 2023," and this Long Island City venue earned a spot.

LONG ISLAND CITY, QUEENS — A Long Island City eatery was just named among the best new restaurants in Queens this month.
Eater NY recently published its list of "The 15 Hottest New Restaurants in Queens, July 2023," and Sofun Noodle Bar at 4340 12th St., near 43rd Road, earned a spot on the list.
The new location is an extension of the Lower East Side restuarant Hunan Slurp, owned by Chao Wang. The Long Island City menu ranges from spicy Hunan to Sichuan to sour Guizhou.

"The depth of the broth in the beef brisket noodle soup comes from a dozen ingredients including dried orange peel, star anise, pickled peppers, Sichuan peppercorns, lime, and cilantro," according to Eater NY.
Some dim sum items include a durian puff pastry and a Chiu Chow-style dumpling with dried shrimp, mushrooms, veggies, and Cantonese sausage.

Other Queens restaurants that made it on the list include Yasaiya, an all-you-can-eat hot pot spot in Little Neck, and Fuzi Pasta Co., an Italian venue in Fresh Meadows.
