Months Of Subway Service Changes Come To Astoria's N And W Lines
N and W trains won't run as usual in Queens throughout weekdays and weekends during the next eight weeks, the MTA said.

ASTORIA, QUEENS — Two subway lines in northwest Queens won’t run as usual during the next couple of months, according to the MTA.
N and W train service will be disrupted in Queens throughout weekdays and weekends over the next eight weeks, an agency spokesperson told Patch.
The service changes are in order to accommodate “track panel replacement work” on the Astoria line, a spokesperson said, which the transportation agency has been working on since 2017.

Trains on the W line also won’t run as usual on weekdays throughout the next eight weeks.
W trains, which don’t run on weekends, won’t run in Queens midday while N train service is disrupted, and will instead run via the Q train from 57-Street-7Avenue to 96 Street.
An MTA spokesperson pointed out to Patch that W service will operate normally during morning and afternoon rush hours, as well as during the evening.
