Second LIC Subway Attack In Less Than A Week Prompts Search: NYPD

A second woman was punched while riding the E train Wednesday, this time by a different man from last week's attack, police said.

LONG ISLAND CITY, QUEENS — Another woman was attacked while riding the train in Long Island City Wednesday just days after a different man attacked a 69-year-old woman on the same subway line, police said.

A 52-year-old woman was punched while riding a southbound E train near the Queens Plaza station on May 24 about 10:45 a.m., the NYPD said.

The man told her "look somewhere else" before he punched her several times in the head before running away in the subway station, authorities said. She exited at the Court Square station and was taken to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in stable condition, cops said.

The man is in his 30s and about 6 feet tall, and he was last seen wearing a white and blue hooded shirt and light blue jeans, authorities said.

The attack comes after a different man punched a 69-year-old woman on board an E train in Long Island City on Friday, police said.
