ASTORIA, QUEENS — A straphanger was slashed at a subway station in Astoria last month, police said.

A 43-year-old man was exiting a southbound 'N' train at the Broadway and 31 Street train station on March 23 when he started fighting with another man on the platform, the NYPD said.

The man punched the 43-year-old and then slashed him several times in the face about 3:30 p.m. before he fled, authorities said.

The 43-year-old man was taken to New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center in stable condition, cops said.
