SUV Driver Killed In Fiery Crash After Hitting LIC Building: Cops
The Brooklyn woman died after she slammed into a Long Island City building late Thursday and her SUV burst into flames, police said.

LONG ISLAND CITY, QUEENS — An SUV driver was killed in a fiery crash in Long Island City late Thursday after she careened onto the sidewalk and crashed into a building, according to police.
Beverlee Jackson was speeding up 11th Street just before midnight when she mounted the curb at 44th Drive and slammed into a building, police said in a news release.
The impact threw Jackson, 58, from the car as it spun around, pinning her underneath, and then burst into flames.

The East Flatbush, Brooklyn, resident was unconscious and unresponsive when EMS showed up at the crash site, and they pronounced her dead.
