Woman Hits NYPD Officer With Shoe At Astoria Eatery, Police Say

Police went to an eatery to control a disorderly group, and while pushing people back one woman hit an officer with a shoe, a video shows.

ASTORIA, QUEENS — Police are searching for a woman who they say hit a police officer on the head with a shoe.

Early in the morning of Sunday, Nov. 7, around 3:08 a.m., police went to Chubby Burgers & Chicken located at 25-97 Steinway Street in response to a report of a disorderly group at the takeout spot.

While police were pushing people back with their hands, according to a video, one woman hit an officer on the head with a shoe.

The officer bruised his forehead, and was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Several days later, police released a video of the incident, which shows the woman, who ran away from the takeout spot and hasn't been seen since.
