TOWN OF BABYLON, NY — Many dogs at the Town of Babylon Animal Shelter are hoping to get "lucky" this St. Patrick's Day.

Starting on Thursday, the shelter is hosting a "St. Pitty's Day" adoption event, where every dog adoption fees will be only $17.

According to their social media account, the event is in honor of their "pits", or pit bull breeds, who make up the majority of adoptable shelter dogs.
