Daly told Patch that the celebration is to welcome the whole community.
"We're really just opening up this store to people who are curious, to come in and talk with us" she said.

Little Lash and Brow Boutique first opened in 2013 as the first lash and brow boutique on Long Island.
They offer a wide variety of services, from eyelash extensions, to different styles of eyelashes, which includes keratin lash lifts. The boutique also offers "everything brows", such as brow lamination to permanent makeup.
They also provide nano needling facials, which are popular in South Korea, and help produce collagen in the skin.

Daly told Patch that beautifying eyelashes was always a passion of hers, but never thought she could make a living off of them.
"I've always loved mascara," she said. "I was one of those mascara freaks where I used all these different brands, and couldn't wait for a certain brand to come out."
She said she was inspired to open up her own boutique after a bad experience receiving "cluster lashes" or when a collection of individual lashes that are grouped together glued at one end, finishing with a thick base.

The experience gave her a double sty eye infection that lasted an entire year.
"I was scheduled for surgery, but I was finally able to get this sty out of my myself with apple cider vinegar and hot compresses," Daly said.
Since then, Daly has made it her mission to learn how to offer the service properly. She then took a class on it and became professionally certified.
At the time, eyelash extensions were mainly provided as a side service in salons or at people's homes.
"I actually became known for removing bad eyelashes because that's all that was around," she said.

One day, the Babylon resident stumbled upon a real estate listing at 61 Wonder Park Ave. The spot would become Little Lash and Brow Boutique's first ever location.
"My first day, I made my rent," said Daly. "It was just a hit."
While eyelash extensions are currently popular, it took some time for the community to learn about the services.
At the same time, admitted she felt like an "eyelash doctor," because many people didn't know where else to go when they faced issues.
"Women were bringing their eyelash curlers, weeping 'Oh my God, my eyelashes are all over the eyelash curler, what do I do?'," she said.

But around 2015 to 2018, the business had a "huge explosion."
At one point, after she became semiretired, she had 20 employees working at the boutique.
Daly said that providing these types of services for people truly change lives for all kinds of people.
"Those who have alopecia, for example, now they have eyebrows," she said. "They don't have to draw them on, they don't have to worry about them sweating off or rubbing off."

Getting eyebrow tints or eyelash extensions also just helps people feel confident and gain self-esteem.
"I've seen people go from timid shy people to exploding bosses," she said. "It really changes someone's life."
