Children's LI History Classes Being Offered

Free classes will teach children all about the history of the place we call home.

Let your kids get a deeper look at the place they call home with Long Island History classes, offered by a local girl scout and sponsored by the Babylon Historical Society.

Rose Ann Bencivenga, a Babylon Girl Scout, has used this educational opportunity as a part of her Gold Award project. She is looking to get others excited about the vast and long history of Long Island.

The classes will offer many interesting facts about colonial life on Long Island and teach all the way up to present-day, contemporary Long Island. The classes will also include a fun craft that the participants can take home.

Classes will be offered free-of-charge on different days for children entering different grades.

  • 5th & 6th Grade Classes: Tuesday, July 23 and Thursday, July 25 at 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
