Daytime Closures On 27A To Begin Monday: What To Know
The closures will take place near the Town of Babylon, the New York State Department of Transportation said.
TOWN OF BABYLON, NY — The New York State Department of Transportation is advising motorists of upcoming closures on State Route 109 in the Town of Babylon on Monday.
One lane in either direction between Morton Street and Main Street (State Route 27A) will be closed from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
The closure will take place for about seven weeks, weather permitting, to facilitate a pavement resurfacing project.

Electronic message signs near the paving locations will have additional closure information posted.
Motorists are urged to plan accordingly and drive responsibly in work zones. Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
