Former GNC Demolition Completed in W. Babylon

A former GNC storefront was finally torn down on Monday at the Great South Bay Shopping Center in West Babylon, completing the demolition project that began on the site nearly two weeks ago.

The former row of stores, which included a former doctor’s office, salon, Verizon Wireless retailer, GNC and WeightWatchers, was knocked down to make way for a new parking lot on the corner of Park Avenue and Montauk Highway as well as a a Red Robin restaurant.

Three of the former space holders at those storefronts – the salon, GNC and WeightWatchers – have moved elsewhere within the Great South Bay Shopping Center. The latter two made the move final last summer.

There was still no expected date of opening for the new Red Robin restaurant available at this time.
