Fourteen Veterans From The Bristal at West Babylon Honored at Memorial Day Parade

In a moving tribute to service and sacrifice, fourteen veterans residing at The Bristal Assisted Living at West Babylon, ranging in age from 82 to 100, were honored by the community during the annual West Babylon Memorial Day Parade on Monday.
These distinguished individuals served in World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War, and were recognized not only for their military contributions but also for the enduring spirit they represent.
100-Year-old John Boller, rode proudly in the parade and was greeted by hundreds of community members waving flags, clapping, and expressing heartfelt gratitude.

Local officials and parade organizers offered words of thanks, and several younger residents were seen shaking hands with the veterans and taking photos,a powerful connection across generations.
Parade organizers said, “We owe so much to these brave men. Their courage made our freedom possible and today is a small but heartfelt way for us to show our appreciation.”
