AMITYVILLE, NY — One person was injured in a fire that broke out on a boat docked in Amityville Tuesday night.
The Amityville Fire Department responded to a call of a house fire at the South Ketchum Avenue home at about 7:30 p.m.

When firefighters arrived they found two boats on fire next to the home and one burn victim.
Crews quickly began knocking the fire down. The injured person was taken to Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow for treatment.

The Massapequa and Copiague fire department also responded to assist.
