Police Issue Traffic Advisory Due To Suffolk Marathon In Babylon
The 6th Annual Catholic Health Services' marathon will take place on Sunday. Read onto on to learn how to find alternate routes.
BABYLON, NY — Suffolk County Police are advising motorists of road closures due to the Sixth Annual Catholic Health Services’ Suffolk County Marathon on Sunday.
The event will begin at 7:30 a.m. at the Babylon Long Island Rail Road Station.
Runners will travel east along Montauk Highway then south over the Robert Moses Bridge to Captree State Park, according to police.

They will then return northbound over the bridge to eastbound Montauk Highway to Gardiner County Park in Bay Shore.
The event is expected to run until about 12:30 p.m. Motorists are urged to find alternate routes.
