A pair of Turkey vultures have been seen in a Babylon Village residential area.
The 2 impressive birds were spotted perched atop a Babylon house Sunday afternoon.
Although they may look a bit frightening in appearance and size, they are in fact gentle and non-aggressive. Turkey Vultures can be identified by their featherless red heads resembling those of their namesake. Adults have a wingspan of 5 to 6 feet and can detect carrion from over a mile away.
