How is the mobile beach pass different from the sticker beach pass?

The mobile beach pass is used exactly like the sticker beach pass. The mobile beach pass is linked to a vehicle, not to a person, just like the sticker.

What beaches does the mobile pass give me access to?

It can be used at the same facilities: Overlook Beach, Cedar Beach, Gilgo Beach, Cedar Beach Marina & Campground, Venetian Shores and Tanner Park.

Can the mobile beach pass be used at pools?

No, the mobile beach pass and the sticker beach pass can only be used at the beaches listed above.

I have the mobile beach pass on my phone, by my spouse/child wants to take the car to the beach. How does this work?

The mobile beach pass is linked to the vehicle, not the person. This new system uses plate reading technology and can scan the plate of the car at the booth. If the driver doesn't have the mobile beach pass on their phone, the plate will be scanned. If the plate is in the system, the car will be allowed in to park.

Do I still need to stop at the booth even though I have the mobile beach pass?

Yes, you must stop at the booth with the mobile beach pass AND the beach sticker. The staff will either view your sticker or scan your mobile beach pass or your vehicles license plate.

Can I convert my beach sticker into a mobile beach pass?

No, you cannot convert your beach sticker into a mobile pass. The beach sticker acts the same as the mobile pass. The mobile beach pass is linked to a vehicle, not to a person, just like the sticker.
