Village Viewfinder: Rainbow Over Cedar Beach Marina

The heat wave broke last week with some spectacular thunderstorms over Long Island and, while this week has been much cooler, the thunderstorms stayed around to put on more shows in the skies.

Photographer Bridgette Kistinger snapped this shot of a rainbow peaking out from the clouds after a thunderstorm rolled through the area on Tuesday evening, just missing Babylon with heavy rain, but producing the light show after it passed.
