West Babylon Named School Of Excellence By New York State

WEST BABYLON, NY — Student-athletes from the West Babylon School District have been recognized for their skills in the classroom, the school district announced.

West Babylon School District was named a 2023-2024 "School of Excellence" by the New York State Public High School Athletic Association.

West Babylon is one of 226 schools across New York State to earn the School of Excellence award.

To apply for the School of Excellence award, 75 percent of a school district’s varsity teams must qualify and receive the Scholar-Athlete team award.

West Babylon has 25 varsity teams and the winning school districts will receive commemorative awards this fall.
