BAY SHORE, NY — A 19-year-old from Virginia who prosecutors said had thousands of pressed fentanyl pills, hundreds of methamphetamine pills, and several illegal guns was indicted Tuesday.

On May 7, 2021, Shanti Felton was wanted by the Prince William County Police Department in Virginia, for armed robbery. Long Island officials later learned Felton was hiding at a Bay Shore home, according to an investigation between the district attorney’s office, Suffolk police and U.S. Marshals Service.

When law enforcement approached the home Oct. 19, Felton tried to escape through a basement window with a fully automatic, blue and black, ghost gun, Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney said. After a brief standoff, Felton dropped the loaded gun and surrendered, officials said.
