Bay Shore Eatery Closes After 1 Year On Main Street
A beloved Bay Shore bar and grill announced on Instagram that it will close its doors for good on New Year's Eve.
BAY SHORE, NY — Bay Shore's American Standard Whiskey Bar & Grill is closing its doors for good on New Year's Eve.
The closure comes a little over a year after it opened in the summer of 2023 on Bay Shore's Main Street and replaced Corks and Taps which served the community for almost a decade.
On Friday, American Standard announced the closure on Instagram, writing:

"It is with much sadness that we announce that New Year's Eve will be our last service at American Standard.
"We want to thank everyone for their ongoing support; most of all our devoted staff who have shown an incredible amount of loyalty and dedication to us and to their work.

"We wish much success to the new owners and look forward to their positive impacts on downtown Bay Shore."
But fans of the bar will have an opportunity to say goodbye on New Year's Eve.
According to the post, the bar will maintain its normal business hours over the weekend and will be closed on Monday.
American Standard will re-open Tuesday at 3 p.m. for happy hour and dinner, followed by its farewell New Year's Eve party from 9 p.m. to midnight, featuring an open bar for $50 per person.
The post said unused American Standard gift cards will be redeemable at Coastal Kitchen & Daiquiri Bar starting on Jan. 1, 2025. Anyone with questions may email costaverdelongisland@gmail.com.
