Bay Shore School Bus Driver Accused Of Sexually Abusing Girl: Police

Police ask anyone who believes their child may be a victim, or with information about the case, to contact the Special Victims Section.

BAY SHORE, NY — A Bay Shore resident who works as a school bus driver is accused of sexually abusing a pre-teen girl multiple times in 2023.

Suffolk County police arrested Miguel Enrique Diaz of 20 Penataquit Ave. at 11:11 p.m. Wednesday.

A community therapist reported the alleged abuse of the girl, who is now 13 years old, to detectives in the Special Victims Section earlier this month, police said.

Diaz, a Suffolk Transportation bus driver for Bay Shore Middle School and Brook Elementary School, was charged with one count of Course of Sexual Conduct Against a Child 1st Degree and two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, police said.

He was scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Thursday.
