Drugs, Weapons Seized From Home 100 Feet From HS; 2 Arrested
Police executed a search warrant at the Long Island home Friday morning.

BAY SHORE, NY – Two people were arrested and police seized drugs, cash and weapons after they executed a search warrant at their Bay Shore home Friday morning, Suffolk Police said.
Acting on information from the community, Third Squad Special Operations Team and Narcotics Section detectives, along with the 3rd Precinct Gang Unit, Community Support Unit, and Emergency Service Section executed the warrant at 5 Grace St., about 100 feet across the street from Bay Shore High School, at about 6:55 a.m.
Detectives seized more than 1,000 grams of crack/cocaine, several ounces of powder cocaine, more than $16,000 in cash, a Mossberg 500 12 gauge shotgun, a Taurus .38-caliber revolver, a quantity of ammunition for both weapons and hydraulic presses and other equipment used in manufacturer and preparation of narcotics, police said.

Remon Gibson, 38, was charged with first degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, three counts of criminal possession of controlled substance, criminal use of drug paraphernalia, criminal possession of a firearm and endangering the welfare of a child.
Maudene Bean, 40, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child.

Two of Bean and Gibson’s young children were present in the home at the time of the execution of the search warrant, police said. They were turned over to a family member.
Gibson will be held overnight at the Third Precinct in Bay Shore and will be arraigned at first District Court in Central Islip on Saturday. Bean was released on bail.
