Terry lost her husband , Will, suddenly and unexpectedly on Christmas morning. After a period of mourning she returned to work in early March, as we prepared for COVID in the emergency department at Long Island Community Hospital. It was hard to imagine anyone recovering from a tragedy such as losing a spouse only to return to the surreal scene that COVID was. Terry was able to stay strong and provide care for our patients during that time. As difficult a time as COVID was Terry was handling it immediately following the loss of her husband. Her ability to do this was remarkable and was an inspiration to all of us who work with her.
In addition, her co-worker says that Mulqueen is an excellent decorator and on her days off she often will help friends and coworkers decorate their homes.
Thanks for all that you do Terry Mulqueen!
