LI Hospital Hosts Heart Health Event For American Heart Month
A Long Island hospital is offering a heart health event in honor of American Heart Month in February.
BAY SHORE, NY—Heart disease is one of the leading causes of death in the United States. That's why February is recognized as American Heart Month, and the first Friday of February is National Wear Red Day.
On Saturday, Feb. 15, Good Samaritan University Hospital is hosting a heart health event from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the South Shore Mall's Macy's Court in Bay Shore.
The event will essentially be a mini health fair featuring information on heart health, giveaways, free screenings, nutrition information, games, face painting, and "stop the bleed" demonstrations.
