LI Man Arrested, Drove With 50 License Suspensions: Police
The man was charged with driving with more than 50 license suspensions at a traffic stop, police say.
BAY SHORE, NY — A man was arrested in Bay Shore on Saturday, after he was charged with driving with 50 license suspensions, Suffolk County Police said.
Cristian Mendoza, 24, of Central Islip, was charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, police said.
At about 2:27 p.m., officers initiated a traffic stop on 5th Avenue, near Drexel Drive, after Mendoza was observed failing to signal before changing lanes in a 2008 Nissan Altima.

Upon further investigation, officers discovered that Mendoza has 50 license suspensions on seven dates.
Mendoza was given a desk appearance ticket and set to be arraigned on July 21, the Office of Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney told Patch.
