Man Shot To Death At LI Home: Police

A man was found dead from a gunshot wound in his Long Island home on Thursday night, Suffolk police say.

BAY SHORE, NY — A man was found dead from a gunshot wound in his Long Island home on Thursday night, according to Suffolk County police.

Police said they responded to a home on West Lakeland Street in Bay Shore after a resident called 911 around 11:20 p.m. and found Daniel Nunez Hernandez, 24, a resident of the home, with a gunshot wound.

Nunez Hernandez was pronounced dead at the scene by a paramedic from the Brentwood Legion Ambulance, police said.

Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the shooting, police said.
