$4K Engagement Ring Stolen From Suffolk Store: Police

The man asked to see the ring and then fled, police say.

BAY SHORE, NY — A man who stole an engagement ring worth more than $4,000 from a Bay Shore store is being sought after by Suffolk County police.

Around 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 3, the man asked to see a diamond engagement ring at Kay Jewelers in the Westfield South Shore Mall.

The man then fled the store with the ring, valued at about $4,200, police said.
