BAY SHORE, NY — A new coffee shop is coming to Bay Shore.

Milano Bean Cafe, which currently has a location in East Islip, will open a second store on 6 E Main Street on Saturday at 11 a.m.

Selina, the café manager who preferred to not use her last name, told Patch that the Bay Shore location will be three times the size of the East Islip store.

The E Main Street location will also be open from 6 to 12 a.m. on weekdays and from 6 a.m. to 4 a.m. on the weekends. Its hours are late to accommodate patrons at nearby bars, Selina said.

"If you don't want to go to a bar, but you want somewhere to hang out and not feel pressured to drink, you could come have coffee," she said.

Tiger, Selina's father and owner of Milano Bean Cafe, designed the Bay Shore location himself. The family also plans to open a flower shop in East Islip in the near future.

She also said the Bay Shore store is perfectly located downtown and is an ideal place to "grab" something before catching the Fire Island Ferry.

"You can have meetings, or just have a cute little hangout spot to do homework," said Selina.
