Murder Charges For Woman Who Fatally Stabbed LI Man: Police

A woman has been arrested and charged with murder after stabbing and killing a man last weekend on Long Island, Suffolk County police say.

BAY SHORE, NY — A woman has been arrested for allegedly murdering a Bay Shore man last weekend, according to Suffolk County police.

Bikeya S. Barker, 44, of Brentwood, was arrested on Tuesday for stabbing and killing Shurvell Rush behind Railroad Plaza in Bay Shore around 6:40 p.m. on Saturday, police said.

Barker was charged with second-degree murder and was held overnight at the Fourth Precinct and is slated to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Wednesday, police said.

After police arrived at the scene on Saturday and found Rush with a stab wound to his chest, he was transported to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore, where he was pronounced dead.
