Anthony Tartaglia, president and founder of Costa Verde Hospitality, told Patch that he wants it to "feel like a nice restaurant mixed with a bit of a honky tonk / live music bar."
The sale of the restaurant was finalized on Friday, Tartaglia said. American Standard Whiskey Bar & Grill is expected to open sometime this spring or early summer.
In a social media post, Corks and Taps thanked its customers for almost a decade of business.
"Thank you so much for everyone who has visited us the past 8 years," the post said. "We really appreciate all the support you have given us, but our time in Bay Shore has come to an end. We will miss you!"
