Scouting America Troop 43 supports local food pantries

Scouting America's Troop 43 chartered by AMVETS Post 76 Bay Shore, Thanks ShopRite of Bay Shore and their customers for the support.

On the morning of Saturday April 5, 2025, Scouting America Troop 43 held a food drive at ShopRite in Bay Shore and collected 5 overflowing shopping carts of non-perishable items that will be donated to the local food pantries.

The scouts would like to thank ShopRite for allowing them to use the location for this important community service and special thanks to all the customers that gave so generously to the cause and supporting the scouts.

We had a great time speaking with the many community members that passed and hearing the stories of several alumni of scouting programs and a few even from our own Troop 43. With a history of over 60 continuous years of service to the Bay Shore Brightwaters area by the youth of Troop 43 by the Sea we have many proud alumni and the current youth enjoy hearing stories and fond memories.
