Scouts BSA Pack 25,Crew 105, Troops 43 & 430 community support
Bay Shore & Brentwood Scouts BSA Units working together to provide school supplies and information on BSA programs that support all youth!
On the afternoon of Saturday July 20, 2024 Cub Pack 25 of Brentwood along with Venturing Crew 105 of Bay Shore and their charter organization, Living Proof COGIC on 2nd Ave Bay Shore, invited Troops 43 and 430 of Bay Shore to assist with a school supply distribution and Scouts BSA Unit Awareness event.
The afternoon consisted of a wonderful program of activities including a school supply distribution, lunch and snacks, prayer area, a social services consultation area, photo booth, games, and opportunity to meet local political leaders.
Special thank you to the leaders and congregation of Living Proof COGIC, for hosting this valuable event for the community and to Pack 25 & Venturing Crew 105 for planning all the activities.

Scouts BSA offers programs for all youth boys and girls of all abilities from Kindergarten through 20 years of age as follows:
* K-5th grade there are local Cub Scout Packs (like Pack 25 where youth usually attend with others from their local school district)
* 5th -the age of 18 years old there are local Troops (like T43 & 430, at this level youth can attend a troop based on their best fit it does not have to be the closest one, for example T43 & 430 located in Bay Shore have scouts from as far west as Lindenhurst and as far East as Islip Terrace and north to Central Islip and Brentwood)

* Ages 14-20 there is the opportunity to join a Venturing Crew (and at the same time from 14-18 they can belong to both a troop and crew crew if they wish)
Additionally there are other BSA programs in Suffolk County such as Explorer units and Sea Scouts.
