Suffolk County Sheriff's Office To Host Bay Shore Ramadan Drive Thru
The event will take place for Iftar, the fast-breaking meal eaten by Muslims immediately after sunset during the month of Ramadan.

BAY SHORE, NY — The Suffolk County law enforcement will be celebrating Ramadan with Bay Shore community in a special way.
Suffolk County Sheriff Errol D. Toulon, Jr. and the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office will be holding a Ramadan Drive Thru Iftar at Masjid Darul Quran in Bay Shore on Friday from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Iftar is the fast-breaking meal eaten by Muslims immediately after sunset during the month of Ramadan. The event is free, but it is first come, first served.

Ramadan is considered the most sacred month in Islam, and consists of fasting, prayer, and an introspective and often somber reflection on one’s relationship with God. This year, Ramadan began on March 22.
The month ends with the celebration of Eid al-Fitr, or Festival of the Breaking of the Fast, from April 21 to April 22.
