SUV Crashes Into Law Office On Long Island: Police
Firefighters were called to the scene of a car crash when a man drove into a Long Island law office over the weekend, officials told Patch.
BAY SHORE, NY — Long Island firefighters were called to the scene of a car crash after the driver of an SUV crashed into a law office on Sunday evening, officials told Patch.
A 39-year-old Bay Shore man was driving a 2010 Honda Pilot westbound in Bay Shore when he veered off the roadway and crashed into a building at 160 Howells Road around 5:50, police told Patch.
Crews from the Bay Shore Fire Department and Bay Shore Brightwaters Rescue Ambulance were called to the scene and assisted the driver who was transported to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip for treatment of minor injuries, officials said.

According to fire photographer Anthony Frevola who was on the scene, Bay Shore command "asked for tech rescue teams to respond to secure the building as the building had structure damage."
The Town of Islip Building Inspector was notified to assess damage to the building, police said.

Frevola said mutual aid was provided by Bohemia and West Islip fire departments, Brentwood Legion Ambulance, Islip Town Fire Marshal and Hazmat Team.
